春を告げる花です。雪国では雪解けの下から花を咲かせる姿が印象的ですが、東京でも枯葉や霜柱の中から黄色い黄色い花がのぞかせると心が躍ります。

Far East Amur adonis (Fukujyuso in Japanese), a flower which tells us spring is coming.In snow area, it is impressive a yellow small flower comes from under the white snow. Even in Tokyo, I am excited to watch it from fallen leaves or frost colums.

銀色に輝く三椏（ミツマタ）の蕾が、文字通り３本に分かれした枝の先で揺れています。

昔は和紙を作るのに植えられた三椏も、最近は花を楽しむために植えられることも多いようです。まもなく白やオレンジ色の花が開くでしょう。Silver buds of Mitumata, literally trident or three pronged branch in Japanese, or Oriental Paperbush are shivering on top of each branch. The plant used be cultivated for producing Japanese paper but now a days planted for watching flowers in gardens. White or orange flowers will be opened soon.

冬枯れの石神井公園の三宝寺池のほとりで黄色い花を咲かせる連翹（レンギョウ）、その優しい黄色に少しだけ心が和みます。

At breakfast of 7^th of January, I eat Nanakusagayu, Seven herb rice porridge. It is a Japanese custom with ancestors’ wisdom for resting our stomach which can be tired from the feasting and drinking of New-year’s holidays and replenishing nutrient and vitamin by young herbs in cold winter.

今日は７日、七草粥を頂きます。お正月のご馳走で疲れた胃袋を癒し、野菜不足になりがちな寒中に、新鮮なビタミンと栄養を優しいお粥で頂くのは先人の知恵です。

Seven herbs or vegetables are seri (water dropwort), nazua (shepherd’s purse), gogyo(cudweed), hakobera(chickweed), hotokenoza(henbit), suzuna (turnip) and suzusiro (daikon radish).

春の七草、せり、なずな、ごぎょう、はこべら、ほとけのざ、すずな（蕪）、すずしろ（大根）。

Yellow winter sweet, Japanese allspice is now just blooming. May be in a few days, we can enjoy sweet fragrance.
蝋梅の花がもう咲きそうです。匂い立つにはもう少しでしょうか？
